Welcome to the Postpartum Depression Alliance of Illinois
Are you a pregnant or new mom who is struggling with feelings of anxiety or depression? Perhaps motherhood is not how you expected it to be?

You are not alone. We are here to help!

The PPD IL Alliance is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2001 to help Illinois women and their families’ access support and information about all emotional issues that can occur during pregnancy or within a year of delivery (called Perinatal Mood Disorders or PPMDs for short).

We provide information about symptoms,
what helps, online resources and where to get professional help in Illinois.

The PPD Alliance of Illinois’ headquarters are located in Northbrook, IL and this is where we offer our workshops for new moms and a free support group but our volunteers come from all over Illinois and we provide information about resources across the state.

We also work to educate family, friends and healthcare providers so that moms and moms-to-be can get the support they need to recover. We have fought for legislation to recognize PPMDs and the devastating effects they can have on women and their families.
